I was told 2 weeks ago I was invited on the Freeride World Tour 2012, so I rushed to book my flight to Cagary, for the first stop in Revelstoke.
That was probably the longest trip of my life, about 36hrs of travelling to get there...
We had quite bad visibility the whole time, to check the face and to ride the comp too.
The organization dropped us with a big heli and we had to ride on a ridge to reach the start.
I wasn't feeling comfortable at all at the top, I was quite impressed, I definitely have to get used to heights.
But once I dropped in, it all felt so much better, the snow was really good and a bit sluffy, which I'm also not used to. I did have a mellow run, with 2 small jumps, and it took me to the second place!
I was happy to have my french buddies around, they gave me good advices, nice to meet new cool people too!
Now we have a couple of days to ride around the area, and watch the skier's finals!
