The Roxy Chicken Jam, in Mammoth always inspires good times and these two episodes from One Life is all about that! ...we arrived in Mammoth just in time for my cold to kick in, full force. The first days I decided to stay inside to try to get my body healing, using all kinds of herbs, getting acupuncture treatments and sleeping a lot. In the meantime it was absolutely dumping outside, something that meant waist deep powder riding for fellow One Lifers, Sarka Pancochova and Chanelle Sladics. Thursday night it was time for our good friend and singer/songwriter Kellen Malloy to perform at Roxy and One Life's benefit concert. We are doing our best to raise funds towards eco education, and organic food fundraisers. He played some amazing sets and we sold wristbands from Keep-A-Breast. A guest appearance from Eddie Wall was a perfect end to the fun night at Hyde! The next days several practices got cancelled due to the heavy snowfalls, and while the girls shredded fresh powder, I was a good girl and stayed inside to heal my sore throat. Saturday came up fast and it was time for the contest to happen. The only problem was the 100 mph wind gusts that made it very challenging for anyone or anything to operate. Most of the lifts were closed, the rails were covered in snow and the jumps were shut down, so the organizers at Roxy decided to get creative. With a go-pro contest including prizes for "best team", "best trick" and "best pranks" the girls took on the challenge with great enthusiasm. For me, the goal was to make my way up to the mountain/ cafeteria area, so I could watch the "Roxy Powder Jam" go down! Face shots, tied-together shoe lazes, zip-tied boards, bathroom scares and the pranking of Todd Richards on live webcast, were just some ingredients from this very creative day! Check out our Chicken Jammin' Part One and Two to find out more of what went down..."

Nin Jiom Pei Pa Koa (http://ninjiom-hk.cwahi.net/) may be another choice. i know alot of people use it, its also non alcoholic, though it's effectiveness is not as good as alcohol based cough medicine, but it's still good to use on not so serious sore throat.
