"Hello!

 

So I have been home for the past week and it has been great! Getting into the gym and chilling.

Went up to the North Coast today for some surf action! Not the best at it yet, but working on it!!! Waves where real small so it was fun to get back in the water and have a paddle about!

How many surfboards and people can you fit in a Mini.

4 people.  3 surfboards and 1 boogie board, not bad going. Basa Stevulova would be proud….

Don’t judge me on this… I am going up again tomorrow. Going to get better haha

 

On the way back, it was a full on mission, all the roads back into the city, JAMMED.  bomb scares in Belfast. NICE… so we stopped off had a munch and then cruised back home. Was amped on the surf so going to head up again tomorrow whoo!

 

Oh and I forgot to say… I had a little interview with the BBC on Wednesday. So stay tuned for that next week !"

Roxy Girl Bianca Buitendag wins the individual silver medal

Under 18 Girls division - Roxy girl Bianca Buitendag (RSA), 17, wins the silver medal just behind Cannelle Bulard, after a remarkable week.

Despite her victory facing the French girl in her repercharge round and a great final where she had some good waves, the young South African had to leave the first place to her competitor, scoring 10,16 pts against 13,86 pts for her competitor. The Australian Nikki Van Djik wins the third place on the podium.

Bianca Buitendag wins here her best international result in her recent career and goes on with an exemplary season marked by her victory at Narrabeen (ASP Junior world championship) in last January.

Roland Garros...

Hey!

So I haven't given real news for a while, but all is good here in France we had non stop swells and nice weather, it's pretty much the perfect time to be in Biarritz right now! 

Last week I taught a tennis player Bethanie Mattek-Sands how to surf, which was really fun she was able to get a couple of good waves, but now she needs to teach me how to play tennis in Roland Garros (the french open) which is probably going to be really funny... Because I suck at tennis!

I'm going there with Sally Fitzgibbons so it should be a fun little trip in the city.

I think theres going to be a video of it and will post it as soon as I get it...

Juste quelques news en francais, la semaine derniere j'ai eu la chance d'apprendre a surfer a une des meilleures "tennis woman" du monde Bethanie Mattek, c'etait cool elle a eu quelques bonnes vagues a la cote des basques, et demain je pars a Roland Garros ou elle va m'apprendre a jouer au tennis avec Sally.

Ca risque d'etre assez drole vu mon niveau en tennis!

A day in the life!

So last week I was in Austria! And I filmed a day in the life with James Haggerty and Sean Miller!

 

 

We follow British shred starlet Aimee Fuller on a typical day in her extraordinary life as a snowboarder.

Aimee is in Kaunertal, Austria for the British Snowboard Test along with Czech rider Sarka Pancochova and Roxy super grom Katie Ormerod.

The girls get their shred on before hijacking somebody's back garden for an après trampoline session.

O’DONNELL TAKES OUT 2ND BLU EVENT OF THE YEAR AT SAUNTON

Candice O’Donnell took out the 2nd British Longboard Union event of the year to make it 2 from 2 this year.

The contest saw pretty shocking conditions with all the competitors doing amazingly well to make something out of the small choppy waves on offer, with Candice coming out on top of a stacked final in the fading light and dropping tide.

With 2 wins in her pocket Candice now needs another good result at the next event in order to retain her British Title.

“The next event is an important event for me, we’re halfway now and I’m just looking to remain consistent and enjoy the event,” Candice said. 

Girls spring photoshoot in Sierra at Tahoe!

A couple of weeks ago Jamie Anderson invited about 10 girls (skiers and snowboarders) to shoot and ride the private park at her home mountain Sierra at Tahoe. Similar to last year, Jamie wanted the shoot to be fun, progressive and laidback, witch is perfect after a long and intense season. The park had three jumps in a line, a hip, variety of boxes, a pole and a creative rail feature at the bottom. Other Roxy riders there was Aimee Fuller and Erin Comstock. We had all kinds of different weather, everything from sun and slushy conditions to snow blizzard and powder. One of the powderdays we decided to switch equipment, so that the skiers went snowboarding and the snowboaders went skiing. Me and Aimee tried a rail and felt pretty gnarly. Jamie was a great host and rented a big house at the lake for all the riders to stay at. In the evenings we laid on the dock, played games, edited, shot photos and played music.
