Sally get 2nd at Taranaki Womens Surf Festival WCT in New Zealand, against Carissa Moore (HAW) in near-perfect 2m offshore conditions at Fitzroy Beach in New Plymouth.
This left Fitzgibbon with the unenviable task of scoring a combined two-wave total of 19.17 to get in front. Despite one impressive wave score of 8.67, the Aussie could only manage a combined total of 16.17.
Fitzgibbons paid tribute to Moore who pulled off some massive turns and threatened the prefect wave score of 10.
Sally is now second on the World Title Ranking, on the way to get Champion.
