After only two years on the WQS circuit, (World Qualifying Series) Lee-Ann has solidified her surfing and progressed regularly over the course of the seasons. Semi finalist in the 5 star WQS in Brazil, Lee-Ann finished this season with 7240 points and earned her ticket for the ASP Women’s World Tour for next year. She finds herself, at only 20 years old, the youngest European surfer ever to qualify.
The daughter of legendary Tom Curren three times World Championed and Marie-Pascale Delappe, runner up French and European surfing Champion. Lee-Ann is the only French surfer on the prestigious circuit of the 18 best female surfers in the World.
European Junior Champion in 2006, ASP European Champion in 2007 and 2009. In the history of French surfing Lee-Ann is only the third person to ever qualify for the elite Tour of women’s surfing.
Her big wave knowledge, calm temperament and her mature approach to competition will be essential attributes in her rookie year. She will first be put to the test at the Roxy Pro Gold Coast, the inaugural event of the Dream Tour. In the hollow tubes or on beach breaks, Lee-Ann Curren has all the qualities to compete with the best surfers in the world.
