Hi all,
Just posting news for day 3 of our morocco trip…
This morning our friend Saad woke us up at 4am to go surf. No maybe it was around 6.30 but all I know is it was really hard to get out of my bed.
We packed our boards and wetsuits and went to a spot called “goats point”. It looked amazing, like a never ending right hand point break with barrels and all so we all jumped in our wetsuits and ran out. But it was really far from what it seemed, most of us made it to the line up but kassi got stuck. I saw a lot of good waves but it was almost impossible to get one.. and it was much bigger than we thought, jen got a set on the face and broke Candice’s board yew.
Girls really need to get their boards right now, after that session half of the group went back to the airport to check if a miracle had happened (still no boards though).
The other half including Candice, Sally and I went to another spot that we will call “comebacknomore”.
This time waves looked good and they really were, we surfed for 2 hours Sally and I and got plenty of waves, but the tide was coming in and we started to worry about a new problem: how to get out of the water. Waves were smashing on the cliff, Sally was smart enough to follow Saad the local, I chose to go my own way because I was too lazy to paddle up the point one more time, it took me maybe 40 minutes to get out but it’s all good.
After all these adventure we had a good lunch and chilled for the rest of the day, saving energy for the next 10 days of intense surfing and road tripping.
Don’t forget to check out the photos!
Yalla!
